BRS MLA Kaushik Reddy’s arrest a heinous act: KTR

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao has condemned the arrest of Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy, calling it a “heinous act” and demanded his immediate and unconditional release.
In a statement, Rama Rao criticized the Congress government for making a habit of filing false cases and repeatedly arresting BRS leaders. “The arrest of Kaushik Reddy is undemocratic and indicates an attempt to divert attention from the chief minister’s inability to deliver on his promises,” he said.
He accused the Congress of using repressive measures to suppress opposition voices, especially after Kaushik Reddy questioned the government over unfulfilled promises like crop loan waiver and dropping the Dalit Bandhu scheme in his Huzurabad constituency.
The BRS working president declared that the Congress government led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy cannot damage the confidence and determination of the BRS leaders emerging from the Telangana state struggle with its petty politics. He questioned the Chief Minister’s inaction against BRS MLAs who joined the Congress, while retaliating against BRS leaders who questioned the government on public welfare.
