BRS workers demand to know the address of Kaushik Reddy, protest at Karimnagar police station

Karimnagar: BRS leaders and workers protested in front of Karimnagar Forest Town police station and demanded that the police reveal the whereabouts of Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy.
Karimnagar police arrested Kaushik Reddy from Hyderabad on Monday evening in connection with the case registered against him for arguing with Jagtial MLA Dr. Sanjay Kumar and brought him to Karimnagar.
Knowing that the Huzurabad MLA would be brought to a town police station, BRS leaders and workers gathered at the station at night.
Although the MLA was arrested in Hyderabad around 7.30 pm, he was not brought to the police station even after 11 pm. Therefore, BRS workers asked the police about his whereabouts.
As the police refused to give any details, they raised slogans against the Telangana government and found fault in it for filing illegal cases against the MLA. When he tried to stage a sit-in protest on the road, the police took him into custody.
BRS city president Challa Harishankar, Raghuveer Singh and some others were arrested.
On the other hand, the police made arrangements to bring Kaushik Reddy to Forest Town police station to collect his signature before producing him before the judge.
A police source said that instead of taking him to the police station, the police took him to the Karimnagar City Police Training Centre.
