Grand Bhogi Mahotsav Celebration in Nagarkurnool District

Nagar Kurnool: Sankranti is one of the major festivals of the Telugu people, celebrated for three days in a traditional manner. Bhogi, the first day of Sankranti, was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Nagarkurnool district.

Bhogi festival started with lighting of bonfire early in the morning on Monday. Children, adults and women gathered on the streets and in front of their homes to light the Bhogi fire. Around these fires, people sang, danced and celebrated, making the atmosphere lively and festive.

The tradition of lighting the Bhogi fire filled with good wishes and happiness created a vibrant atmosphere in the villages of the district. This celebration ushered in the New Year with joy and enthusiasm as people celebrated with great joy.
