Chennai: One of the iconic films of Tamil cinema, ‘Baasha’, starring superstar Rajinikanth and Nagma in the lead roles, will be re-released.

Produced by RM Veerappan for Satya Movies, ‘Baasha’, directed by Suresh Krishna, was released in the year 1995.

To celebrate 30 years of the release of this iconic film and to mark the 60th Golden Jubilee of Satya Movies as well as Superstar Rajinikanth’s 50th year on screen, the makers of the film have now decided to re-release it Is.

The re-released edition will boast gorgeous technical brilliance with state-of-the-art 4k enhancements and Dolby Atmos surround sound.

‘Baasha’ is a gangster story that changed the genre of commercial action films in Indian cinema. A dialogue by Rajinikanth in the film, “Naan Oru Thadva Sonna, Nooru Thadva Sonna Mathiri” (What I say once is like saying it 100 times) won the hearts of fans and admirers and has since been widely loved by many. But it has been used. On different platforms and in different forms. Apart from Rajinikanth and Nagma, the film also stars late actors Raghuvaran, Charanraj, Anandraj, Janagaraj, Vijaykumar and Yuvrani.

This film, released 30 years ago in 1995, proved to be the biggest blockbuster of superstar Rajinikanth’s film career. The film, which ran successfully for 15 months in theaters across India, was remade in several languages.

The film, which has left an indelible mark not only in the hearts of Rajini fans but also in the hearts of the entire people of Tamil Nadu, is now being remastered in 4K with Atmos sound technology, almost like a new film. RM Veerappan’s son Thangaraj Veerappan will release the film on behalf of Satya Movies. Sources say that the makers have not decided the release date but it will be announced soon.
