Replica of Srivari Temple opened in Mahakumbh Mela

Tirumala: TTD on Sunday inaugurated the Shrivari Model Temple near Naga Vasuki Temple in Sector-6 in Prayagraj, UP, under the Hindu Dharma Campaign in view of the Maha Kumbh Mela, the world’s largest religious event, starting from January 13 (Monday).

TTD has established a model temple to glorify the glory of Sri Venkateswara Swamy for the northern devotees.

Tiruchi Utsavam was organized in the form of a procession at the Triveni Sangam and the sacred Ganga water was filled in urns and brought to the temple. Special puja rituals were performed on this occasion. Subsequently, Vishvaksena puja, Punyahavachanam and other Vedic rituals were performed in the temple.

Daily homas and special puja programs were traditionally conducted under the guidance of Venugopala Dikshitulu, one of the chief priests of the Srivari temple.

After Samprokshan programs and Mangala Neerjanam, devotees were allowed to have darshan of Srivaru after distribution of Prasadam.

HDPP Secretary Sriram Raghunath, Deputy EO Gunabhushan Reddy and other office staff were also present.
