Telangana swimmers Shivani Karra and Nithya Sagi Sri shone at the 68th SGFI National Swimming Championship in Rajkot, Gujarat on Thursday, clinching gold medals in their respective categories.
Hyderabad: Telangana swimmers Shivani Karra and Nithya Sagi Sri shone at the 68th SGFI National Swimming Championship in Rajkot, Gujarat on Thursday, clinching gold medals in their respective categories.
Shivani triumphed in the U-14 girls’ 200m backstroke, clocking an impressive 2:33.36 to outpace CISCE’s Shreya Binil (2:33.53) and Gujarat’s Dhyani Patel (2:37.72). Meanwhile, Nithya delivered a commanding performance in the U-17 girls’ 200m backstroke, securing the top spot with a stellar timing of 2:27.95. CISCE’s G Memon Meenakshi (2:30.07) and West Bengal’s Sagnika Roy (2:38.18) settled for second and third places, respectively.
