Third edition of Bird Walk will be organized in Kagaznagar division

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A three-day bird walk will be organized by the forest department in Kagaznagar division from Friday.

Forest department officials said the participants will take photographs of birds living at various irrigation tanks, some places and forests across the division, which are frequented by the feathered wonders.

Elaborate arrangements were made for the smooth conduct of the program. Nature lovers, experts, students, wildlife photographers and environmentalists will participate in the walk.

A fee of Rs 2,500 will be charged to participate in the event. In the first bird walk organized in 2019, around 100 bird species were discovered in the division.

The same number of birds were found in the second edition of the event held in 2022. About 270 bird species had already been recorded by officials in the Kagaznagar forest division.

To the delight of the officials, the participants witnessed some rare bird species such as Eurasian Wryneck, Tricolor Munia, Riverton, Brown Racket Chat, Common Kestrel, Sahin Falcon, Red Crested Pochard, Eurasian Sparrow Hawk, Woolly Headed Stork, Black Eagle, etc. . ., who made the forests of the district their home.
