Watch: Andhra CM Naidu celebrates Sankranti with family in ancestral village

Naravaripalle: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday celebrated Sankranti with his family in Tirupati district and participated in some small development programmes.

The Chief Minister’s native village Naravaripalle hosted him, where he spent the morning with local leaders participating in the Sankranti festival. Later, he visited Chandragiri mandal to lay the foundation stone of development projects including roads and school buildings.

 

Later, the Chief Minister demonstrated to a group of women how to buy essential items online from Easy Mart. An official press release said the southern state has entered into an agreement with Easy Mart to provide quality essentials at affordable prices to women.

Similarly, Naidu handed over subsidized electric three-wheelers to 15 women from different villages under self-employment programmes.

Besides, under a micro irrigation scheme, Naidu distributed drip irrigation equipment and sprinklers. He also flagged off a truck loaded with irrigation equipment for farmers in Tirupati district, the press release said.
