Delhi BMW accident: court today to hear the bail argument of accused Gaganpreet Kaur

New Delhi: Patiala House court will hear the bail argument of Gaganpreet Kaur, accused in the Delhi BMW accident on Saturday, in which the Finance Ministry died earlier this month.

The tragic incident occurred in the Dhaula Kuan area, where Kaur’s BMW allegedly entered a motorcycle, seriously injured an officer of the Finance Ministry, Navijot Singh, who later died. His wife faced serious injuries.

The 38 -year -old Kaur was first sent to judicial custody for two days before being detained by 27 September. Judicial magistrate Ankit Garg heard the initial argument on Thursday and reserved the decision for today.

Prosecution arguments
During Thursday’s proceedings, the prosecution argued that the BMW was growing rapidly at the time of the collision. He was being taken to Nulife Hospital in GTB Nagar, not the nearest hospital, but was allegedly owned by one of the relatives of Kaur. Prosecutors suggested that this could indicate an attempt to tamper with medical evidence.

The investigating officer presented CCTV footage of the incident, which was reviewed by the magistrate. The footage is expected to be significant in installing the sequence of events.

Case details
The complainant’s counsel, Atul Kumar, confirmed that the bail hearing was listed on Saturday. The court will decide whether Kaur will be granted bail or will be in custody or not.

Kaur faces allegations of murder and convicted for careless driving. The case has attracted the attention of the wider public due to high-profile victims and concerns about fair investigation and justice.
